Nature Cleanup at Autere - East End on Wednesday 21 May, 1pm - 3pm (it is fine to be late!)
Come and help us clean the beautiful Autere - East End Beach!
This event is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome!
ALL WELCOME! You do NOT need to be “fit” or stay for the full 2 hours. Any help is MUCH APPRECIATED!
1pm (or later) - Meet us at East End by Paris Plage for a kōrero - briefing. Look for the Sustainable Taranaki flag!
BYO gloves and buckets if possible, but we'll provide some if needed!
3pm (or earlier) - Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (we will separate all items to divert as much as we can from the landfill)
This public event will run alongside a Nature Cleanup co-organised with the New Plymouth Boys’ High School. They will clean the Te Henui walkway and join the public community cleanup at Autere - East End Beach.
No RSVP required! Just show up!
The aim of this event is:
- to clean this location the best we can
- to divert trash from the landfill
- to engage and educate our community about waste and recycling
- to create a fun and meaningful event for families to connect with the environment and take action towards bettering sustainability/conservation
