Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop

Learn to prune a variety of productive fruit trees with a very experienced teacher:

• Pip fruit - apples, pears, quince - stand alone trees and espalier

• Stonefruit - plums and peaches

• Citrus

• Feijoas

• Figs - fan

Workshop participants will learn about:

• Equipment and sharpening tools

• Techniques

• Apical dominance

• Shapes

• Timing of pruning

• What to prune

• Identifying fruiting buds

• Tying down

Workshop participants get hands-on experience in making pruning cuts, deciding on tree shapes, and pruning espalier trees.

Cost is $100 per person. 
Morning and afternoon tea is included. 
Bring something for a shared lunch.
